WAD - Waste management software

WAD is our waste tracking software for capturing healthcare waste events from the ward onward: who did what, when, and with which containers, so custody stays clear and exports are audit ready. It is designed with NHS Scotland style workflows in mind and aligned with the direction of national digital waste tracking.

Staff use a secure web app to log events such as container sealing, handoffs, production batches, and controlled corrections, tied to wards and standard container references. The same system offers authenticated CSV and PDF exports for supervision and evidence, and supports barcode and QR capture, including offline queuing when the network drops, with automatic retry when connectivity returns.

Behind the UI sits an API with signed in access, so the product can integrate with your identity model and scale alongside boards, hospitals, and partner organisations.

Operational analytics

Built in dashboards summarise ward activity over the periods you care about, with KPIs, trends by event type, and views across the day and week so operational and governance leads can spot spikes, training gaps, and segregation issues early.

Carbon reporting

The same event stream powers indicative greenhouse gas estimates: logged activity is combined with container reference data and disposal routes to produce totals and breakdowns (including mass and estimated kg CO₂e) suitable for internal sustainability reviews. The approach aligns in spirit with GHG Protocol Scope 3 Category 5 (waste from operations), and the product is designed so approved factor sets, such as UK Government conversion factors for company reporting (DESNZ), can replace illustrative defaults when you are ready for formal disclosure.
